P&C Committee
Who are we and what do we do?
The NPS P&C is a committee made up of members from the school community including parents and school staff. It is also open to any interested citizens. The purpose of our P&C Committee is to promote the interests of the school by bringing these people together in close co-operation.
The success of our committee is largely determined by the level of participation and commitment our school community demonstrates. Therefore we welcome and encourage anyone who is willing to contribute at any level in the P&C.
The other roles of the P&C involve assisting in providing equipment required by the school, assisting the teaching staff in establishment of school policy and management in all facets of school activity and establishing a strong sense of community within the school.
Our major fundraising events include:
• organising the Bi-annual NPS Fete
• running the canteen at the school athletics carnival and NARRAF carnivals
• raffles such as the Easter Egg raffle
• the Mothers' Day Stall and Fathers' Day Stall.
All the money raised from fundraising goes directly back into our school in a variety of ways. The P&C purchase the books given to the Kindergarten students at presentation day and a Year 6 farewell gift each year. The P&C have also helped purchase a variety of sports equipment, provided classroom equipment, funded garden makeovers and much more.
The P&C are responsible for operation of the school canteen. We have a Canteen Committee which assists in the management of the canteen.
